　　第100回日本感染症学会総会・学術講演会、第74回日本化学療法学会総会合同学会において、若手優秀演題賞をいただきました。このような素晴らしい賞をいただくことができ、大変嬉しく思っています。

　今回の学会は、私が普段参加している学会とは少し異なり、臨床に関する発表が多くありました。臨床現場で実際に生じている問題や現状を知ることで、自分の研究がどのように臨床につながるのか、また今後どのようなアプローチが必要になるのかを考えることができ、とても有意義な学会参加となりました。

　また、自身の発表では先生方や企業の方々からご質問やご意見をいただきました。異なる視点からのご意見は大変勉強になり、今後の研究につながる多くのヒントを得ることができました。そして研究へのモチベーションもさらに高まりました。

 

　実は、受賞のご連絡をいただいたときは本当に驚き、すぐには信じられないほどでした。佐藤先生にご確認いただいたほどで、今でも受賞の喜びを感じています。今回このような賞をいただくことができたのは、日頃からご指導いただいている堀内先生、佐藤先生をはじめ、研究室の皆さま、そして共同研究にご協力いただいた先生方のおかげです。心より感謝申し上げます。また、皆さまのおかげで毎日楽しく研究に取り組むことができています。

 

　私が現在取り組んでいるファージ研究は、近年再び注目を集めている研究分野です。今回の受賞を励みに、薬剤耐性菌感染症という大きな課題の解決に少しでも貢献できるよう、これからも研究に励んでいきたいと思います。

I was honored to receive the Young Investigator Presentation Award at the Joint Meeting of the 100th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Association for Infectious Diseases and the 74th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Chemotherapy. I am truly delighted to have received such a prestigious award.

This conference differed somewhat from those I usually attend, with a stronger focus on clinical topics. Learning about the challenges currently faced in clinical practice provided me with valuable insight into how my research can contribute to patient care and what approaches may be needed in the future. It was a highly meaningful and rewarding experience.

In addition, I received many insightful questions and comments from researchers, clinicians, and industry representatives during my presentation. Their perspectives were both inspiring and educational, providing valuable ideas for future research and further motivating me to continue my work.

 

I was truly surprised when I received the notification of the award and could hardly believe it at first. In fact, Sato-sensei kindly contacted the conference office to confirm the result. Even now, I remain deeply honored and grateful to have received this award.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Horiuchi-sensei, Sato-sensei, all members of our laboratory, and our collaborators for their continuous guidance and support. Their encouragement has enabled me to enjoy and pursue my research every day.

 

My current research focuses on bacteriophages, a field that has recently regained considerable attention. Encouraged by this award, I will continue striving to contribute, even in a small way, to addressing the global challenge of antimicrobial resistance.
